Accelerated Loss of Mains Change programme (ALoMCP):

The ALoMCP is an industry programme that was launched by National Grid ESO in collaboration with UK Distribution Network Operators in October 2019. The purpose of the programme is, to prove funding support to network generation assets, who need to make changes to their Loss of Mains (LoM) protection, in order to remain compliant with the current version of EREC G59/3-7.

Owners of generation equipment have until 31st August 2022 to update their protection settings in order to comply with the requirements

All engineers carry laptops with associated relay communications software for various types of protection relays. All equipment is periodically calibrated. Calibration certificates are available upon request.
